Convoy #12

7 Cars + 1 Fire Truck

The fire truck is going to the Bilopil community in the Sumy region - a community located near the border and constantly exposed to enemy shelling.

In collaboration with Belgian partners, our team has so far delivered over 130 cars, intensive care units, and trucks with humanitarian cargo, medicines, and equipment – worth a total of over 4.5 million euros.

During the handover event in Zbarazh, Deputy Head of Ternopil OVA Pavlo Zhurba thanked volunteers and international partners for their continued support:

Today we express words of sincere gratitude to our international friends who are helping Ukraine in its most difficult times. Mr. Igor Vitenko is an example who, despite living in Belgium for years, still has his heart in Ukraine.

Igor Vitenko, a native of Zbarazh who has lived and worked in Belgium for over 25 years, noted that Ukraine's assistance is a matter of honor for him:

It's my purpose to help! This convoy, eight cars and over 20 tons of humanitarian cargo. This is my country and my people. Although most of my colleagues are Belgian, their hearts also beat for Ukraine.

The fire truck, which is going to the Bilopil community, symbolizes the cooperation between Zbarazh and Bilopil. In the spring, the communities signed a partnership agreement within the National Project "Side-by-Side: Gurtovan Communities," aimed at mutual support between rear- and frontline settlements.
